Family movies generally address issues of the time and tend to put across family values like patriotism and family bonds. Family movies are made to appeal to anyone and everyone. They do not contain any strong language, violence, adult content or any other material that could be deemed unsuitable for viewing by children. The name implies all. They are movies for the whole family.

Movies like Star Trek, The Wizard of Oz, A Christmas Story and Finding Neverland as well as animation movies like the recent Ratatouille, the Shrek series, the Toy Story series and the world famous Harry Potter series have kept viewers of al ages engrossed and entertained.

Animation movies like Finding Nemo, the Shrek series, the Toy Story series and the recent mega hit Ratatouille are also big hits at the box office. Animation movies like the above are hot favourites among children and teenagers, as well as elders providing much needed fun. Family movies have always been around whenever you need them. Family movies provide a much needed break from the normal and boring routines of daily life. They act as unwinding agents which help an individual to de stress. One could catch a family movie in a cinema theatre and always expect to be entertained. Family movies instill a sense of fulfillment and happiness with a feeling of satisfaction and all round enjoyment. Major film making companies like the Warner bros. and Walt Disney accompanied by Pixar Animation Studios and major film production companies have been churning out high quality family movies for as long as one could remember. Even today when one sees the Disney or the Warner logo, one could expect a roller coaster ride of a movie, taking one through a multitude of emotions - happiness, sadness, love, hate and drama.
